Little Giants

Release Date: October 14, 1994

The bucolic Midwestern town of Urbania has always celebrated the achievements of football hero Kevin O'Shea (Ed O'Neill), a Reisman Trophy-winner whose early retirement due to injury did nothing to dim his luster.

Younger brother Danny (Rick Moranis, The Flintstones), on the other hand, never got to play on the same field as Kevin...not as a boy, and not now as a man.

And as a girl, even if a talented athlete, Danny's daughter Becky (Shawna Waldron), never stood a chance to join her uncle Kevin's new Pop Warner team, since Kevin's Law dictates that football is a birthright for boys only.

Furious at being turned away, Becky engineers a scheme that will turn her fellow rejects—those too small, weak, asthmatic, chubby, runny-nosed, uncoordinated or unconventional—into a full-fledged rival football team. The coach will be her father, Danny. The trouble is, only one team can represent Urbania in the league.

Danny's team doesn't have a chance of winning...it will be a miracle if they even stay on the same field as the Kevin's team for a complete game. But it will take determination, hard work, mettle and a lot of heart as this motley crew of dreamers try to prove themselves worthy of their team's proud moniker...the Little Giants!

Little Giants, a family comedy, is an exciting movie about friendship, football and how the game of life should be played.

When Little Giants played theatrically in 1994, it was preceded by an Animaniacs short, I'm Mad, made expressly for the big screen.
