Based on the best-selling novel

OLD FRIENDS. SECOND CHANCES.

THE GOOD HOUSE

Release Date: September 15, 2021

Legendary three-time Academy Award® nominee Sigourney Weaver takes on one of the most daring and emotional roles of her storied career as Hildy Good, a witty and commanding New England real estate agent whose world begins to splinter as she is forced to confront her own demons and the damage she has inflicted on her family, her friends and her own future.

Hildy is more fun when she drinks, until she isn’t. But she has refused to acknowledge that she may have a problem, despite an intervention staged by her adult daughters and a stint in rehab. As Hildy’s former assistant (Kathryn Erbe) angles to become her chief rival for their town’s luxury properties, Hildy’s business—and her confidence—crumble. When Hildy’s path crosses with her old high-school flame, Frank Getchell (Oscar® winner Kevin Kline), now a local blue-collar entrepreneur, their romance ignites long-buried emotions and secrets that will propel Hildy toward a reckoning with the one person she’s been avoiding for decades: herself.

Based on the bestselling novel by Ann Leary, The Good House co-stars Morena Baccarin (Deadpool) as Rebecca McCallister, a wealthy, lonely client of Hildy’s, Rob Delaney (Bombshell) as Peter Newbold, a local psychiatrist whose marriage is falling apart, Rebecca Henderson (Netflix’s Russian Doll) and Molly Brown (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) as Hildy’s daughters, and comedy icon Beverly D’Angelo as Mamie Lang, Hildy’s oldest (and hardest-drinking) friend.

The Good House, from DreamWorks Pictures, is directed by award-winning filmmakers Maya Forbes & Wally Wolodarsky (A Dog’s Purpose, The People v. O.J. Simpson-American Crime Story) from their script with Michael Cunningham. The film is produced by Oscar® nominee Jane Rosenthal (The Irishman, Bohemian Rhapsody), Berry Welsh (The Irishman, When They See Us) and Oscar® nominee Aaron Ryder (Arrival, The Founder). The executive producers are Erika Hampson, Steve Samuels, Christos Konstantakopoulos and Holly Bario.
