Survivors of the Holocaust is an historic documentary which chronicles the events of the Shoah (the Holocaust) as witnessed by those who survived.

The program weaves together archival footage with survivors’ personal testimonies and photographs, chronicling life in pre-war Europe, the devastating impact of Nazism, the liberation of the concentration camps, and life fifty years later. Survivors re-live their personal histories by bearing witness on record, many for the first time.

The film, presented by Steven Spielberg and the Survivors of the Shoah Foundation (now the USC Shoah Foundation) was directed and edited by Allan Holzman. It was honored with a Peabody Award and two Emmy Awards, for Outstanding Informational Special and Outstanding Individual Achievement in Informational Programming for Holzman's editing.
