He's not looking for trouble...he's wearing it

"The name's Tong, James Tong."

Tong, Jimmy Tong

The Tuxedo

Release Date: September 27, 2002

Cabbie-turned-chauffeur Jimmy Tong (Jackie Chan) learns there is really only one rule when you work for playboy millionaire Clark Devlin (Jason Isaacs): Never touch Devlin’s prized tuxedo. But when Devlin is temporarily put out of commission in an explosive “accident,” Jimmy puts on the tux and soon discovers that this extraordinary suit may be more black belt than black tie. Suddenly thrust into a dangerous world of espionage, paired with a rookie partner (Jennifer Love Hewitt) as inexperienced as he is, Jimmy becomes an unwitting—if impeccably dressed—secret agent.

The Tuxedo stars Jackie Chan, along with Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jason Isaacs, Debi Mazar, Ritchie Coster, Romany Malco, Mia Cottet, and Peter Stormare (Minority Report).

The action comedy marks the feature film directorial debut of Kevin Donovan, who made his name as an award-winning commercial director. Adam Schroeder and John H. Williams (DreamWorks' Shrek) produced The Tuxedo with Walter F. Parkes, Laurie MacDonald, and William S. Beasley (The Mexican) serving as executive producers. Michael J. Wilson and Michael Leeson wrote the screenplay from a story by Phil Hay & Matt Manfredi and Michael J. Wilson.
